Coming Soon: More Weekly Flower Sketches & More Ikebana

10 Oct

After many moons, it’s time for me to return to the peace, serenity, and happiness of arranging plant materials. Ok, maybe I’m just a little OCD and I have fun arranging things, but if it calms one down—making them feel less anxious (AHEM)—than so be it! That’s what the ancients said should happen, right?

Sensei? What say you?

Oh wait, I’m not back with Sensei just yet. I’m actually in the middle of an employment shift so we’ll probably need to wait for a few more weeks until I have a set schedule. Until then, you’ll have to put up with me practicing. I have a lot bottled up and I can promise you that it will be a wild and fun ride. I’m just not up for doing this daily anymore.

“Why the sudden re-appearance?”

Glad you asked.

Let’s just say a lot has been going on in my life and I’ve recently been re-inspired by an interest in American-grown cut flowers and the local or slow flower movement. Have you heard of it?

More on that later, though…

Oh yay, Ann! Glad to have you back in the flower-bloggers club!!! Exciting! You have such an unique voice and (to me) you’re making Ikebana accessible and interesting! Can’t wait to see what you do next!

I had no idea I was a flower blogger but it makes sense to me now.

As for my accessible Ikebana, it’s probably due to the fact I’m such a naughty Ikebana artist.
